Q: How many bedrooms do the Fountain Springs Apartments have?

A: 700 square foot apartments have 1-bedroom, 915 square foot apartments have 2-bedrooms

Q: What is the monthly rent?
A: 1-bedroom - $500/month*
    2-bedroom - $645/month*
 
Security Deposit - $400

• Section 8 Pennington County Housing is accepted.
• Rent is due on the 1st day of the month. If the tenant does not pay the full amount of rent by the end of the 7th day, the tenant will be charged, as "Additional Rent", a late fee.

Q: How do I tour the Apartments?

A: Contact the Apartment Coordinator, Erin at (605) 394-9649 to schedule a showing. Tours are by appointment only, so that we can coordinate with a current resident willing to view their apartment.

 
Q: Do you have garages?

A: Garages are optional for an additional $35/month. Please check with management at (605) 394-9649 for availability.

 
Q: Do you have eligibility requirements to be accepted?

A: We are a Low Income Tax Credit Property-based on net income. Prospective tenants must complete an application and be accepted and qualified as a tenant. This process can take 2-3 weeks.

The income qualifications are as follows:
1 person: $24,120/year
2 persons: $27,540/year

 
Q: Do you have a minimum age limit for renters?

A: 62 years of age or older (if married-both need to be 62 years of age or older)

 
Q: What utilities are included in the rent?

A: Fountain Springs pays heat, water and garbage pickup. Tenant pays electricity (which includes AC), phone and cable TV.

 
Q: How do I get my name on the waiting list?

A: Since our apartments are generally fully occupied, we take names for our waiting list. You must complete the application and be within income limits before you can be added to the waiting list. Once you are qualified, you are then added to the waiting list. Your income certification is valid for 3 months. If the wait is longer than 3 months, we will have to recertify you prior to move-in.

 
Q: Are meals available?

A: Lunch is available Monday through Friday ($4 per meal), in the lunch room on the 2nd floor of the apartment building. The dietary team from the Health Care Center prepares this meal. The lunches are not available on holidays.

 
Q: Is this an independant living or assisted living facility?

A: This is an independant-living facility. However, if some assistance with transportation, companionship, personal care, house keeping or handyman services is needed, Fountain Springs Health Care offers "Town Care Services" for a fee. Click HERE to see the list of services.

 
Q: What appliances are inside the units?
 
A: Each apartment has a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven and garbage disposal. There are coin operated washers and dryers on each floor. The cost is $1.00 per load to wash and $1.00 to dry a load.
 
Q: Is smoking allowed?

A: This is a NON-SMOKING facility. Your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

 
Q: Do you allow pets?

A: No pets are allowed.

 
Q: Is there an elevator inside the building?
A: We have one elevator located on the bottom floor that travels to all three floors.
 
 
Q: Is this a handicap and wheelchair accessible facility?
A: This facility is in comliance with the ADA and is FULLY handicap accissible. We do not, however, have any wheelchair accessible units.
